This week and next week, we have 60-90 minutes of beginner Thai at the end of each day. Yesterday’s class focused on pronouns. After going over the new vocabulary, and practicing it a few times, the teacher told us, “Now we’re going to play The Spanking Game.”
The Spanking Game consists of going up in front of the class, two at a time. One person says an English pronoun, and the other has to say the Thai translation. If Person 2 gets the Thai pronoun wrong, the teacher hits Person 1 in the butt with a ruler.
