Step 1. Go to eye doctor.
Step 2. Show them used contact lens packaging.
Step 3. Buy a few new boxes just off the shelf.
No exam, no new prescription, nada.
I’d been putting this off for weeks! Until I accidentally tore my last pair and couldn’t procrastinate anymore. I don’t like the eye doctor, I don’t like the machines or dilation or blinding light. “Is #1 better or #2 better” gets real boring too.
But it turns out, I don’t need to do any of that in Thailand! Yay!
My prescription has been stable for a while, and I’ve never had any issues with my eyes (aside from the fact that they kind of suck at their job). If any of that wasn’t true, I would have gotten an exam – I don’t advocate being careless with your eyes!
